Dr. Jim Butler, Bombora’s Chief Technology Officer, is responsible for architecture, engineering, infrastructure, and security.
Prior to Bombora, Jim was the CTO at Stavvy, HqO, Verizon Media’s Global Supply Platforms, Nexage, Matchmine, and eCredit. Jim holds multiple patents in systems architecture and digital media. Jim was instrumental in the creation of the industry standard OpenRTB, widely credited with driving the growth of mobile advertising and programmatic advertising overall.
Jim holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, a Master’s in Computer Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a BSEE Magna Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
