What is a ‘surge?’

A ‘surge’ is when a company demonstrates an increased level of research activity or content consumption compared to its historical baseline. Companies ‘surging’ on certain topics are strong indicators of purchase intent for certain products or services.

What is a Topic Surge ScoreTM?

A Topic Surge ScoreTM, derived from Bombora’s Surge ScoreTM, indicates the intensity to which a company is surging on a particular topic compared to its historical baseline. Scores range from 0 to 100, where scores above 60 are considered to be surging.

If I provide a list of companies, can you provide me with contacts?

Bombora does not collect email addresses or contact-level data.

Does Company SurgeTM for Email provide Intent data on the contact or company level?

Intent data is captured on the company level. Company SurgeTM for Email matches the email domains of the contacts on your list with domains in our database and appends the Topic Surge ScoreTM for the company.

Are you integrated with any marketing automation platforms?

Not currently, however, it is on the current roadmap to integrate with leading marketing automation platforms such as Marketo and Eloqua.

How often is Company SurgeTM for Email data refreshed in the interface?

Company SurgeTM for Email reports are refreshed on a weekly basis.

Do I receive a Surge AlertTM when a target contact is surging on topics that are relevant to me?

Currently, automatic notifications are not sent when a target company or contact is surging on particular topics of interest. However, this is something that is being considered on the product roadmap.

What is your pricing model?

Company SurgeTM for Email is priced on monthly subscription fee based on the number of topics being monitored with a one-year minimum commitment. Please reach out to a Bombora account representative for more information.
